My Approach
Risk Management Strategies
Returns may seem like the only thing that matters. It’s not that simple, however. Since your situation is unique, your portfolio needs to reflect your personal tolerance for risk.
“I function as a coach and you as the owner.”
It’s surprising how some individuals depend solely on the guidance of their advisors and remove themselves from managing their wealth. By functioning as a “coach” and not a “player,” my goal is to use my knowledge and experience to educate you on the potential opportunities and issues on your investments.
As our relationship evolves, we’ll examine different aspects of your financial life to help determine if we need to incorporate additional resources, such as investment managers, retirement income strategies, and life or long-term care insurance.
Flexibility and Liquidity
Since life is unpredictable, it is important to have access to cash when you need it.
I will recommend investment strategies designed to help you maintain confidence into the future. During our first meeting, we’ll talk about your comfort level with your current cash position and ensure you have the options available to you to maintain flexibility.
Periodic Review With You
During our annual meetings, I will conduct a deep dive of your investment performance over the past year.
This includes a thorough review of your portfolio, returns, what worked and what didn’t, and an outlook for the coming year. We will also determine if anything has changed in your situation or goals. If so, I will ask additional questions to determine if any changes should be considered.
These meetings are conducted in person whenever possible. I am also available for phone calls for annual meetings if that is more convenient and will e-mail you materials for our review.
